NHS interview (IT department)

hey guys

I have an interview with NHS and its within their IT department. The interview guideline say that I have to give a presentation related the IT role i have applied for.

I would like to know that apart from the presentation will there be any in-tray exercise, or group exercise or any kind of assessments that i would be facing????

Please can anyone who has been interviewed by NHS (IT dept) help me with my situation, it will be helpful to me ????

Thank you.....

  • Didn't the government announce today they're scrapping the NHS IT department?

I think they announced the scrapping of a new software system that was being introduced across the nhs which was first setup by the last goverment.

I doubt very much if each trusts IT department would be closed.
  • If it's a junior role it could be a bank position...

    January 2015 - Mortgage down to £114k
Target for 2015 to get down to £105k

When I was interviewed, the person taking me to the interview room was the junior member of the team. Her opinion was one of the factors used by the manager to decide whether to take on the applicant.
As I applied for a programming position, I was given a technical test and then the interview.

What kind of position are you being interviewed for? Though if the guidelines suggest there will be a presentation and an interview, I wouldn't worry about any other types of test.
  • It's highly unlikely you'll have any kind of group interview for an IT job. You're usually tested on your IT knowledge and anything else that goes with the role; but as already mentioned, it will all depend on what job you're going for.
