Have you tried looking in Debenhams etc? Also, there is a wedding dress sale this weekend (short notice, I know) in a few areas, if you google it it should come up. Other than that, do you have any really good charity shops or vintage/ second hand shops? You might land lucky?
  • What's your budget?

Have you thought about looking in Monsoon? Most of their wedding dresses are quite vintage-y. Or phone a few bridal shops explaining your predicament - they might just have a sample dress in your size - the worst they can say is no.

Spend a day trawling vintage markets and shops.

Put a request out on preloved and gumtree.

Oxfam also have bridal departments - you can sometimes get amazing bargains, often unworn, so worth a shot.

    Good luck!

  • I wouldn't bother at all with an online place - You have no idea if it will be here on time, and no way will it get here form China (light in the box)
Do as others have said, ring round and get out there.
    BHS have some sale dresses.
    Debenhams
Smaller boutique shops may have something
    A local seamstress?
    Good luck!
  • You can also check 'Bridal Bargains' and 'Very'. It's good to check bridal stores for samples but sometimes the price does not include cleaning and always excludes alterations. Don't panic, it is possible to find something lovely on a short notice :)

What size and style are you after? If everyone looks i am sure we can find a sample or something unique for you. Whats the budget?

Have you tried a minimiser bra with it? That might help.
Also, it might be worth asking a local seastress about having it altered - they may be able to add a panel of fabric or something.
  • Have you got a Monsoon outlet near you? They have some gorgeous wedding dresses in there at the moment, some with a vintage feel. All around £60. I know they have them at Cheshire Oaks, Junction 32 at Castleford and Street if you are anywhere near those?

I had a lovely ball gown that I wore to my 6th Form Prom a number of years ago (it was a bargin on ebay!) and when I came to wear it for my graduation ball at uni, it was too small up top. A local seamstress managed to put an extra panel in, take the zip out and turn it into a rather nice and discrete corset. I would seriously look around at local seamstresses (is that even a word?) and see if they can do something. Make do and mend and all that! Wishing you luck!
