Certainly a good price, but wouldn't any thief just snip through that rather flimsy looking cable with boltcroppers or something similar and run off with the box, on the basis that there'd be bound to be something in it worth removing at leisure later on?

I think any thief equiped with bolt cutters would go after bigger swag than this small box. It's really designed to deter the oppotunist thief.
