Yeah..whatever :rolleyes:0 -
I agree that cheap kites usually aren't worth buying; they're just frustrating to (try to) fly, and generally a waste of money. Kite flying is a great way to get out and get some fresh air (especially this time of year), but you really would be better off spending a few quid more and get something that'll actually provide some enjoyment.
There are plenty of places online that sell decent kites, if you're looking for a 'cost-effective' alternative :-)0 -
Lorian wrote:I used to make and fly kites a lot when I was a kid. Once you get the hang of finding the correct bridle point to adjust the angle of attack then most purchased kites will fly somewhat. Having said that I've seen some really heavy "carbon look" kites with very small surface area that suck.

Very strong, but you really need a clear range when flying it!
I also still have two or three of the single line "eagle" kites glimpsed in the video. We used to tie extra rolls of string together on these, I recall we got as high as four full rolls.
I god, sorry I'm waffling about kites. I must be getting old
Ahhh those were the days!!! Those Eagle kites were awesome!Happiness is wanting what you have, not having what you want.
