I read that they have lost some of the market share, and they are at 30.4% and they are desperate to not go below 30%! They claim this is a real price war which will make A$DA tear up their price promise of 10% cheaper, which is why Tesco are loosing their share of the market!
If it saves me money, great.... if it doesn't... then they will just have to be happy for less then 30% of the market!!We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -
...and watch them rise again just before Christmas. This is all about getting customers back in their shops so Tesco can be benefit from the big grocery shopping for Christmas with the purchase of more profitable branded products in Christmas shopping.
Money Savers are good at price checking from various shops for their groceries and I see no reason for them to stop doing this despite this so called price war.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Just an excuse to get rid of the double club card points. Didn't see that coming did we. I shop in Morrisons as I can get up to 5% off the gift vouchers all year round. Also 5% off at ASDA and Sainsbury's0

Tesco appear to have been loosing a bit of a market share, but then so has ASDA oddly enough.

Aldi and Lidl have gained a bit where Tesco and Asda have lost - that makes sense because Tesco and Asda tend to brand themselves more on low price than Sainsburys and Morrison, so will have more price sensitive customers likely to jump ship to even cheaper places.Adventure before Dementia!0
