Can someone help with my question?

Hi, I have lurked for many a month and have take the step of filing for bankruptcy. My appointment is next Wednesday and I am almost done with the paperwork. I have a question though that I am hoping some kind sole will help me with.

Have I missed anything below, anything glaringly obvious???

My figures for outgoings are below as per the documentation.

Rent 394.00 *
Housekeeping 346.66 *
Gas/Elac 112.66 *
Water 30 *
Telephone 60 *
Travel 70 – I do some house collections so necessary
Clothing 30
Council Tax 25 *
Car tax/repairs 24
Contents Ins 12.92 *
TV Licence 13 *
Opticians 12
Tutor 80 – will explain below
Holiday 20 – My Mum lives abroad so this is just to cover flights for DD & I
Haircuts 10

Partner is moving in 3 days after my first appointment with the Deputy District Judge and has agreed to pay 50% of essential bills (all with a star). He will be responsible for his own transport costs including insurance and tax etc, his mobile, his clothing, his holiday costs, his maintenance pmts, his bike loan and also his vet bill for his dog… phew! Lousy time for him to move in but he is fully aware and very supportive.

I am responsible for everything without a star. Opticians are because I wear lenses.

Tutor – we moved 200 miles and were in a place of safety until social housing jumped to our rescue. Daughters new school does not teach German (Daughters strongest subject and she wants to be an English Teacher in Germany). I pay £20 per week for a 1 hour lesson and Daughters school have agreed to pay for all exams and also be the exam centre and provide exam staff too – very grateful to them! CAB thought that as long as I had a letter from the school verifying all this then it would be accepted as an outgoing for bankruptcy.

Thank you for any advice you can give me.

Firstly have you got a car?
I am a bit confused, you are claiming travel, tax and repairs and no insurance.
    Is the travel fuel?

Without knowing your income, a bit hard to help.
I take it is you and daughter?
After partner moves in your outgoings will be about £750, will there be a lot left?
  • Sorry, yes I have a car valued approx £1500 which I use for work and social.

I am left with approx £6 after all the above is paid but I knew it wouldn't be easy and can live with it.. Need to trim back some more, completely forgot about insurance which is £24 p/m :-(

Yes, just me and Daughter until partner moves in.

Can ask the tutor your daughter uses is that 52 weeks a year?
Because if she doesn't go during school holidays etc, then the monthly payment will be less
How many weeks a year does she go?
  • Oooo never thought of that, term time only but she does do one week over and start one week before the 6 week hols so 11/12 weeks off. So that makes it £15.76 p/m averaged out.

hank you for noticing that, knew there would be things I hadn't thought of :-)

Having said that, most people get 2/3 months a year where they don't have to pay Council Tax and/or water rates. But I bet most don't average it out over 12 months but just put down what they pay in the months they do pay.

Although never seen this discussed one way or the other on the forum, not seen anything about an OR changing it either.
