  • Hi

I don't know if this is too much for your daughter but I use washable pads which are great and much more comfortable. I know it sounds gross but it's really easy and they are very pretty (nice fabrics) plus there's none of that rustling in the loo when you use them.

I would recommend having a look at WeeNotions, Luna Wolf and Luxury Moon who stock a good range if she's interested. I have a baby in cloth nappies at the moment and I wash them with those, but lots of people just wash them with towels in a hot wash.

Otherwise the Natracare or Nature Baby ones would be your best bet.
  • Thank you op for asking this
I have had surgery ...down below:o a couple of weeks ago and have been advised at moment to either wear cotton pants or none at all:o:o
So next week will be a challenge as I am due for 1st time since surgery I have not totally healed so my old fav tampons will need to stay in box. I looked at site chuckychocy listed and there is stockist not far for me.
    So thanks again:)

  • I use NatureCare (I think that's the name) that I get from the health shop in town and they're so much better and made of cotton, and not all that much more expensive than branded 'normal' disposible pads.

Saying that, I'm about to order some cloth washable pads and if I like them make my own, so that's something to consider.

Used Naturecare but they are spensive. I do like washables myself. There are a few sites out there and some you can choose what pattern you want on them which is kinda cool. Although I tend to only use on those days hwen you think your coming on but haven't yet or on light flow days. But they do work on heavier days too.

  • I'm another 1 who get's irritated by always, but Bodyform or Carefree are ok.
    Booo!!!
  • I thought it was just me that had issues with Always! Good to know I'm not alone. I've had terrible reactions to them but find bodyform to be fine.
Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!

Trinkets are talking about bringing out a range of liners - they are the only tampons I can use, so am looking forward to trying the liners :)
Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup
  • I'm another vote for washables tho I'm a mooncup girl at heart. I made my own from old PJs that had worn out and they are the comfiest things ever! They might be nice for bedtime to give her a break from disposables without the hassle of carrying them round with her during the day.
