E2SAVE - Free rental & phone with 300minutes & data if you can work out the cashback!

E2SAVE have a number of basic phones which include 300 minutes, texts and unlimited data. The rental is £25.50 per month but reduced to £1.50 or £2 per month after cashback (assuming you remember to send in the correct bills.) There are also lots of other deals - click on:
pay monthly, then on gifts, then cashback by redemption.
http://www.e2save.com/mobile-phones/contract.html#giftCashback=Cashback By Redemption
In addition, Topcashback is offering £46.46 cashback for e2save - look for Mobilescomparison under e2save on topcashback website.
So even if you missed one cashback cheque, the cost for an 18 month contract would still be under £4 per week. Just remember to cancel both the insurance and technical support well in advance of the end of the compulsory first free month.

Have done this kind of deal before. Seems to be the t-mobile 18 month Web 300 plan at the prices you describe. As usual they have an odd definition of "unlimited" which may affect you :This Booster comes with unlimited browsing. a fair use policy of 500MB per month applies to non browsing activities such as streaming media and downloading files. T-Mobile will monitor how much you send and receive each calendar month so that they can protect their network for all their internet customers.0

Careful! Don't know whether it still applies to e2save cashback but there was a time when, if you missed a claim, all subsequent claims were voidAwaiting a new sig0 -
Thanks for the helpful replies. I will check the data allowance.
Have checked the cashback terms for E2SAVE. Quite a few hoops to jump throughTerms and Conditions for Cashback
All bills must be received within 60 days from the date of the bill
The pages of the bill must show the following information: the mobile number to which you are connected to, your name, address, the tariff you are connected to and that your payments are up to date. We do accept online bills as long as all the relevant information is still provided. If you are charged by your network provider for a paper bill the costs will need to be covered by yourself and not e2save
If you have ported your number you must inform us by updating your personal information in the customer log in area or by using the IVR telephone service on 0871 522 3403. If you fail to inform us we will not be able to process your cashback and the claim will be rejected
You must have no outstanding balance carried forward from the previous month or your claim will be rejected
If your address on the bill does not match our records then your claim will be rejected. To change your address you can go to the 'Edit Account' menu tab in the customer log in area
If the monthly bills sent are not for the same account and in the same name as the one eligible for the cashback then your claim will be rejected
Customers can not move to a lower tariff during the minimum term, as per the network terms and conditions. Moving to a higher tariff at any time during the minimum term does not invalidate the cashback offer
We reserve the right to withhold any cashback payment(s) if we believe the account to be of a fraudulent nature
If the service agreement is suspended or disconnected for any reason then we reserve the right to reject any cashback claims
You must retain your original contract for the full contract length 12/18/24 months. If you upgrade your contract before this time with any company outside the Carphone Warehouse Group your cashback will be rejected. If you upgrade with any of the Carphone Warehouse Groups your claim will not be affected
We can only accept 1 claim per envelope. This is due to our automated processing system which can only identify 1 bill per envelope received
We give notice that we cannot be held responsible for lost items or claims that arrive outside of the qualifying period so we urge customer's to send their claims by recorded delivery.
Please allow up to 60 days for the cheque to be delivered to your home address.0 -
I have done e2save for the last four years, each year getting a new deal with cashback, as long as you work out which bill it is they want, I have never had any problems getting my cashback. When I've been unsure which bill to send, I've sent the first one, then got a letter saying its the wrong one, so have then sent the next months and its been fine, you have 60 days to send the bill in, you need to send the first 2 pages, so they have your name and address (on first page) and your mobile number (on second page), hope this helps.0

I have been doing some of these cashback deals in the past, and on the E2save website, if you keep the e-mail with your order number etc, you can log onto the website and it details which month you need to send the bill in. Remember to double check the date on the bill. Some companies send bills dated the 31st, and may not arrive till about the 10th of the following month, but they go by the date on the bill, rather than the month you send them the bill.
As for the cost for the whole term, if the phone is £1 per month after cashback, this will cost £24 for the term as many phone companies tie you into 24 month contracts. Add to that the cost in postage for sending 5 claims via recorded (well, if it's not sent recorded, they can conveniently be lost in the post), and the contract could cost about £30.
Add to that, the cashback, then the amount you'd get for recycling, or ebaying the phone, and you'd be paid to have a phone.0 -
Just to add, going via the normal E2save page would only net you £30.30 in cashback. I wasn't aware of the Mobile Comparison page until it was mentioned here, so a thanks has been given to the OP.0
