Baliffs Or DCA??

Returned home this evening to a card inside a brown envelope from scotcall asking me to call XXXX on number XXX

thats all it says?
I have no idea which debt this is for.
But what do i do next?

(obv i call them but i dont know im so confused and scared :o)

    The one thing you never do is call a DCA (not bailiffs) on the basis of a card. It may not be your debt at all, but , hey ho, they do not care, as long as they can frighten you into paying it.

    If it is your debt, they will send you proper information about the debt and you can write to them.

    Come back here if that happens.

    Im worried becuase 90% of the time im there on my own with 2 little ones :o

    S/he has the same rights as the paper boy - none.

    If he refuses to remove himself call the police.

    You could tell them to write if they think you owe them money, but that you are NOT calling them.

    I probably do owe them money. I have uite a bit of debt i have no idea who its been passed onto. but i have no letters from scotcall at all

    It's a DCA.

    If they can't be arsed to put what it's about, then they clearly are not sure they are even putting it through the door of the correct person.

    If it's genuine then they can write with full details. If they won't, then it's obviously dodgy.

    If someone turns up, then tell them to burger off and put it in writing.
