Question: Moving house and Current Deal Expiring?

I'm about 2-3 months away from moving house (if all goes well) and my current offset deal with First Direct is about to expire. Obviously I will go elsewhere and get a better deal, but the question is can I switch to a new mortgage and move house all at the same time? As exchanging can be complicated enough without switching mortgages too.

If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
Stephen

  • It is possible and you may save money. However, deciding whether to do it and whether it is financially viable will depend upon the proposed savings and the actual timescale of when you intend to move. Also many deals with a new lender are "portable" so when looking at your options check out whether you can transfer the deal to your new property, etc. Would suggest you find the name of a good mortgage adviser and see them as soon as possible.
