Coal and Logs for sale in Belfast - for delivery

Are there still any Belfast companies that do coal and log deliveries and what sort of prices are you talking?

Also, I haven't used a fire in 16 years, since a kid, and was wondering do they let you keep the bags they bring the coal in as I haven't a coal bunker or storage area, just a back yard with a small roof over part of it, which keeps the rain off.

Thanks in advance

I am thinking that they might let you hang on to the bag they deliver if you tell them you intend to purchase from them again. You can return the first bag, next time.I reckon its at their own discretion.I would ask when i place the order with them.

    Hi,
When I was ordering coal 10 years ago they always let you keep the bag. You could try Bloomfield fuels?

    I think they do coal.
    Cheers,

  • Hi
We get coal from Bloomfield Fuels too - although we pick it up to save on the delivery- and they are pretty reasonable price wise.

Sorry don't know any in your area but have a bit of advice! If you plan to buy in bulk buy one bag first and see if it's any good. We bought quite a bit and had it delivered, it was rubbish and full of stones. Bought it in the summer time to stock up and by the time we realised it was too late to do anything about it.
We now buy in bulk from supplier instead and find Capper coal to be the best.
  • I buy off Belfast City Fuels, tel 079 104 506 23. Their ad and price list is on Yell.

The guy local to me is charging £8 for doubles whereas they do it for £7.25 (was £7 but he upped it) a bag. His stuff is all out of hayes / kingsberrys too - ie about 1-2-3 quid cheaper than the exact same brand I see sold in the garages....
  • Capper is ok as a coal. I used to think their triple heat was the best but it's nowhere near as good as hayes hi heat, which, like triple heat, is a blend of calco and doubles. The capper is full of doubles and little calco. Their economy doubles fill the ash pan in a day as well.
