Hi everyone. We're 2 weeks away from our wedding now and I've only just realised that I haven't got a DJ for our wedding renewal type ceremony in 3 weeks.
Can anyone recommend a last minute DJ type website? All the people I have spoken to are booked, too expensive or it's too last minute/not enough notice
Thanks in advance

Or is there anyway I can set up an iPod disco in a social club?
If there is what are the best iPod docks for larger rooms?Sealed Pot Challenge Member 1216 -

Have you Google searched? Businesses put themsleves by location - my OH gets lots of his disco/karaoke customers that way0

Between the band at our wedding we hired some speakers and an amp from a local business, included some lights, a mic and an ipod cable too - something like £150 for the night peak season. Were very friendly. Might be worth investigating.
I think this was the place. Cover your area.

(wouldn't swear to it, my mrs sorted it...)
ETA: Don't be intimidated by this option, it was super easy. The guy came and set everything up. It was literally an on switch and a volume control that you needed to worry about. They were labelled and the guy gave instructions. The lights sorted themselves (changed in time to the music). We just stuck on a playlist and left it to it.0 -

Just a tip, if you're using an iPod, spend a little time beforehand listening to the start and end of each song - you can set start and end points in iTunes. Just stops you having too much silence between tracks and helps to keep people dancing - if that's what you're after

Do also check with your venue...most are OK but some may insist on PAT tested equipment which any reputable band or DJ will have. If you hire speakers etc their leads should all be PAT tested but your own probably won't be.
There was a whole thread on here a while back about iPod discos might be worth checking out0
