This year back in about march I added a photo to a ebay dispute it was a roundabout way of doing it but ebay let me. I cannot for the life of me remember how i went about it. I got a refund not long after that.

Glad to hear you are getting a refund anyway.

Remember it's eBay you're really talking to in a case, not the seller.

Point out in your reply in the case that the picture in the listing did not show the shoes side by side, but side on, obscuring one shoe to (deliberately) hide the fact that the shoes are not similar enough in finish to be considered a pair in your opinion and friends and family too.

And the fact that they were sold as a pair but are very different was not mentioned in the listing means they were not as described.

On buy it now transactions you are entitled to a full refund for any reason although I presume you opened a Not As Described case?

You must send tracked to prove delivery to get your refund.

Just ignore her ranting. Your transaction was on eBay with PayPal I assume and she cannot get out of that.

You've every right to receive a refund, it's what eBay protection is for and she's a terrible seller trying to flog the shoes in this manner.
That's not quite true - you are only entitled to a refund for "any reason" from business sellers.

OP: The seller hasn't behaved well - I am very wary of auctions like this for the reason that the seller's photo was deliberately misleading. But you are fully entitled to the refund so stick to your guns, communicate politely and she will be laughing on the other side of her face.

    Good luck :).

It didn't look misleading at the time - just a sideways shot, but once I realise, I think it was done on purpose.

I didn't think paypal would decide so quick, but perhaps they read her ridiculous rant and thought oh another idiot!

Well I sent them tracked, and they tried to delivery and have left her a card - but she hasn't picked them up yet.

That's still enough to get a refund, right?

I phoned paypal and they said the full ten days have to run, and my time has to timeout, before they can review the case. Is that right?

Yes, if it says delivery was attempted, then that's fine.

Seller is going to be livid but it serves here right.

Crossing my fingers for you :).

It actually times out on Monday I've worked out, so not too long to wait now! Yes she will.

So annoyed a pair of faulty shoes have cost me £5.90, with nothing to show for it. Looking forward to leaving the negative, to be honest, after her behaviour.
