Anyway the Ixus 700 is due soon so expect the 500 to be reduced everywhere over the next month.

I've noticed that the 700 is coming out too, but I reckon 5MP is more than I need - so will be looking to buy a 500 when the prices start falling more. Any info appreciated!

Just to say I have an Ixus 500 and it is really good - just can't fault it. Be sure to get a decent sized memory card so you can take lots of pics.
