full and final settlement when been paying monthly amount

Hi there

anyone with experience of getting company to accept a F & F when you have been paying regularly for 3/4 years, not sure if this would go for or against us?

If you have been paying regularly then I think its unlikely that they will accept a full and final to be honest. The way they look at it if you keep on paying they are going to get all the money so why should they.

Normally you would have to have missed payments a lot and be in dire straits before they will do this,

    That's my experience anyway.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
  • Is the account still with the original creditor or has it been assigned or passed to a DCA?
How much is it and how long will it take to pay off? (a the present rate)

will have to dig out the figures, but will take a LONG time to pay back, one is around £2K and been paying about £20 a month, would just like to pay this one off via F & F

Have more than one, variety of DCA and original companies, some on 0% interest too, so no huge rush to sort out,

    thanks

  • if you have been a good payer in the past with the company I dont see how they would accept a lower repayment figure just to settle account

..its hard enough with some companies when you are on a DMP

    but can always ask
