Mortage, Defaults on Credit report, Nationwide

Just wondering if someone can give me some advice
history:
history:
- 2 defaults on credit file back in early 2009 from credit card companies, did not pay required amount on time and was on arrangment to pay
- My Mother passed away recently and left her property to me which had a £45K mortage on it, the account was in order and run well with overpayments made each month, I have now been transferred onto the deed and taken over the mortage on a repayment basis. I explained why I had the 2 defaults on my credit file to them as well
- I have a mortgage on my own home with Northern Rock but am looking to sell and move (my Mothers prooperty is rented out) what are the chances of the Nationwide giving me a mortgage taking into account my inherited property, a £90K deposit but the defaults on my file which they are aware of?
- Some people have said they would not touch me with barge pole but was wondering if my mortgage account is in good order might they consider it?

Pretty minimal I would think0

thought they may look at my case as the transfer deed only went over in the last couple of months, the default was present then and I had to write to them explaining what happened0

With defaults over 2 years old there could be options for you. May not be Nationwide.
Speak to a broker to see if you can proceed.
As for the Nationwide part, give them a call and ask. Best place to get a definite answer.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
