Hello
Not sure if this is the right place to post but hopefully someone can help or point me in the right direction of help.
I have my credit report from Equifax. Am waiting for my report to arrive from Experian.
Do I have to check both companies regulary or do they all hold the same infomation?
Desperatly trying to improve my credit score, have contacted some creditors from my equifax file to romove/update info.... will this carry across to the others or do i have to keep on top of them all.
Any info advice about creidt agencies /reports /score would be welcome xx

Hi
Usually your credit reports from the different agencies will have some information the same and some only on one or 2 of the reports. A lot of lenders will only report to one or 2 of the 3 credit reference agencies.
If you ask a creditor to update your credit files with incorrect info they should update any file they report to, but if you have to ask the credit ref agency to correct something you'll need to do that with each agency yourself.
I'd say its worth checking each file at least annually. I would say its never worth paying for the credit score, the scores are generally considered not to be worthwhile paying for, these numbers are never seen by any lender/potential lender and any lender will only see the information on your actual statutory credit report and assess that, so that is the info to ensure is correct.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
