RSVP Help

Hey everyone,
Hope your wedding plans are all going to plan :)
I am thinking about my RSVP's and was wondering about what wording to use! We are getting married at 1pm and will be serving food in the afternoon and having a evening buffet.
My problem is how do i word my RSVP in order to find out if my guests will be attending both the ceremony and the evening reception or just the evening reception. I would really like to know this so i can get my catering numbers right so we dont over estimate on the afternoon food. I would also like to ask how many children would be attending so that we can cater for these with games and activities and things.

Sorry if this seems trivial but its driving me mad! :rotfl:

Strange question...it normally works the other way round...You invite X people to the day, then Y people to the evening..and there are your numbers...it should be you deciding how many come to each, not your guests.

If you extend an invitation for ceremony, day and evening and someone RSVPs YES you should assume that they're going to everything - or they'll say if they're not.

Likewise, people normally extend the invitation to the children...So for most of our invites they were "Dear <mum>, <dad>, <child1> and <child2>". A couple, we were unsure how many children they had, so they were "dear <mum>, <dad> and family" and we just called them individually and asked how many children they had...A little embarrassing, but people are happy just to have their children catered for.
