Part of our (huge) debt is to the RBOS and we have been paying them monthly on a DMP through the CCCS.
We both had letters yesterday from a firm called Shakespeares about the debt saying that we have not responded to previous communications about this which is silly as we always respond and pass on to CCCS.
They are asking for the debt to be cleared in 7 days:rotfl:

Anybody dealt with these people before?

I will contact CCCS on Monday when they are open again.

Could this sudden letter be in response to us about to sell a house? The mortgage is with RBOS and I presume the RBOS will have been contacted by the conveyancer to ask for the settlement figure.Contracts are supposed to be exchanged next week. We will have about £45000 profit which we will be offering in full and final settlement offers to all our creditors as our total debt is over £84000 with a projected DMP of 61 yrs:eek:

Do you think they time these letters to arrive on a Friday or Saturday so they spoil your weekend?:rolleyes:

If it is Shakespeares in Birmingham then yes i've had dealings with them. You need the patience of a Saint. Never have the file, on holiday, answers that are not relevant , the list goes on.
