The prize provider is Element London Ltd and the prize comprises:
a) Return flights for two in economy class from a London airport of the prize provider’s choosing to New York;
b) Return private transfers for two between the airport and the hotel (taxi/mini cab that is not shared).
c) Five nights' accommodation for two in a 4 star centrally located Manhattan hotel on a room only basis. The room will be arranged as either a twin or double;
d) A sightseeing tour of New York City by helicopter for two;
e) Two New York City Passes;
f) Statue of Liberty evening cruise for two;
g) Travel insurance for the winner and their companion;
h) ESTA fees
Travel must be completed by 18th December 2012. The prize cannot be taken on 14 February 2012 or any other UK public/bank holiday. The stay must include a Saturday night.
Winner and guest must hold current and valid passport and any other relevant travel documentation required for travel to and entry to the USA including but not limited to making a timely application for receipt of ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) authorization under the Visa Waiver Program which will be paid for by the prize provider. It is the responsibility of the winner to (i) organize and pay costs associated with obtaining visas for the travelling party (Element will take the winner through this process and reimburse for the cost but the application must be made by the winner), (ii) ensure that the travelling party is adequately insured including without limitation covering overseas medical costs (this cost will be covered by Element but will have to be arranged by the winner through Element’s insurance broker), and (iii) ensure that the travelling party adheres to the travel itinerary and other relevant safety instructions as set out by the prize provider.
The helicopter tour lasts approximately 15 minutes, can be taken at various times during the day and is available all year round. All guests must have a valid photo ID, check in all hand luggage and walk through a metal detector. Helicopter seating is based on a 7-passenger helicopter. No handbags or carry-on bags will be allowed on the flight. There is a maximum weight limit of 250 pounds for each passenger and passenger weights must be notified in advance to the tour provider.
Each New York City Passinclude tickets to the following attractions (subject to opening times, attractions own terms and availability):
a) Empire State Building, 86th floor observatory and audio tour;
b) Metropolitan Museum of Art, including all special exhibitions, $1 audio tour discount and same-day admission to The Cloisters museum and gardens;
c) American Museum of Natural History and Rose Center for Earth and Space, including one Hayden Planetarium show;
d) Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) admission;
e) An Option Ticket, with choice of either the Rockefeller Center observation deck – or admission to the Guggenheim Museum;
f) An Option Ticket, with choice of either a Sightseeing Cruises experience or a ferry ride to Ellis or Liberty islands, transfer between islands, and return trip.
The Statue of Liberty evening cruise includes 1-hour evening cruise along the East River and a complimentary glass of champagne for all passengers over the age of 21.
Travel insurance terms exclude pre-existing medical conditions and insurance is subject to standard policy excesses and an upper age limit of 74 years.
Six weeks’ notice must be given by the winner in advance of their selected travel dates (dates subject to availability).
Where the winner is under 21 years old, the winner must be accompanied by an adult aged 21 or over to check into the hotel. Please note that the winner will need a current and valid credit card in order to check in at the hotel for security deposit purposes. It is the responsibility of the winner to ensure that they and/or their companions adhere to the local laws in the destinationState, including but not limited to, the legal age limit for driving which is 16 and the legal age limit for buying, drinking and possessing alcoholic beverages which is 21 years or over.
The prize excludes ground transfers in the UK, additional meals and drinks which are not included in the prize, additional excursions, attractions, additional treatments, personal expenses and all other costs and arrangements not expressly included in the prize.0 -
