Our economy is so fragile that interest rates look unlikely to move - thank god for a worsening economy and more unemployed. Let's hope it continues, might be able to extend low interest rates for longer....horrah!
Amatuer landlords are returning only to take advantage of "soaring" rents - brilliant, let's bleed those pheckers dry.
And the stockmarket is in turmoil, which is great. House prices may increase a smidgen, I can hardly contain myself.

Just remember the above next time anyone is accused of wanting doom & job losses.
Although in the current market low IR's are helping companies retain jobs.
Should we put rates up in the current situation it would increase unemployment.
So just remember the above then next time you bang on about inflation and how IR's should go up.;)0 -
I just did a sum for here in sunny Oldham and houses have dropped £160 per week since August 2008. (Using averages of course)

What?
I said the economy is so fragile we are unable to move rates and some people seem to be applauding this, and applauding any extended time of a screwed economy.
Never said anything about putting them up. Here for an argument again?0 -
And I never said you said anything about you discussing a rise on this thread.
I simply said the "next time" you discuss it when on about inflation. If you know the economy is the issue you should understand why the BOE are not fighting inflation.0 -

Good post.
The author of this report appears to have got their data using a mirror, torch and rubber gloves. It just does not stack up with the facts.

...as if anyone could be left in any doubt as to the agenda going on at the Express.
As for the article, and it's not just the Express this time, there are 2 very important words of note. ASKING. PRICES. Utterly meaningless.
Shock rise in House prices? Shock rise in seller delusion.0
