Ideas for chiffon type fabric

Hi all - I've been given about 5 metres of a chiffon type fabric with a beautiful black/cream feather type pattern, and I'm after some ideas of what to do with it (keep it clean, now!!) Also, any advice on how difficult it is to sew (machine) or anything I need to be aware of!
Looking forward to hearing suggestions! Ta:)

    Thanks, it is a beautiful material. If I can sort myself out, I'll post a piccie! I'd thought of a maxi dress but TBH I'm not big on dresses and now winter's on its way, knowing my luck by next summer they'll be "sooooo last year":) I'd thought about a blouse of some sort but I'm doubtful of my abilities with the sewing machine and I don't have any patterns to follow. Anyone got any other ideas, or maybe an idea of where I may be able to get a cheap (or even better, free!) pattern for a longish floaty top that's easy(ish) to sew?
    Oh - and any sewing advice on the fabric??:):)
