Try one of those price comparison sites listed just above your post
eg: Pricerunner http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/redir/643f16f7
http://www.pricerunner.co.uk/sound-and-vision/vision/tv/739280/prices
shows it's £594 delivered from here:

Have a look at the link below as they have them for £575 but you have to collect from the Birmingham branch.

the S model is a better buy than the U model because it has the bravia engine in it
sony have 5 models U S V W X in the bravia range and you can see a vast difference in the picture as the model letter goes up
my mum picked up a 26 inch S model for 399 + VAT at makro a few weeks back.
the new deal in makro is on a 50 inch 799 + VAT
havent got the book infront of me to quote the model number thoughIf You See Someone Without A Smile......Give Them One Of Yours0 -
I'm after the exact same model. I'm getting John Lewis to price match empiredirect at £599.99 because JL include a free 5 year guarantee. They'll be getting back to me in a day or two but "don't see any reason why it won't be price matched"0

John Lewis agreed the price match and my new tv will arrive next week

I contacted the bluewater branch last week but havent heard back from them yet. But after seeing others get the same set PM'd on the avforums at John Lewis Brent Cross I phoned them on Wednesday and they got back to me today. I just gave them the phone number of Empire Direct in Romford and they matched the price at £599.99 + £15 delivery.
You may still find it slightly cheaper elsewhere, but not with a 5 year guarantee from a reputable retailer0 -
Empire Direct have just reduced this model by a further £10 to £589.99. Luckily the John Lewis pricematch is also available for up to 28 days after the purchase so I should get the £10 refunded :T0
