might live in Scotland? They don't close at 4 do they?

With "bhoy" in the user name, there's a very good chance that it's a Scottish poster! ;)

My little local Scottish Tesco is open till 6pm on a Sunday.

The 24 hour one in 'the big town' is open till (well, you guessed it :rotfl::rotfl:).

I never realised how lucky we were! I have enough trouble getting to the local Tesco by 6pm - I'd be completely scuppered if it closed at 4pm :o

Thanks to OP, and others, for putting so many offers in one easy to read thread. I'm drawing up a shopping list fo my own now :T
  • Why do tescos close early on a Sunday??? Never knew that, bhoy could be Irish??? But more likely to be a tim!! ;)

I didn't know that either until we went to legoland last year, was driving around on a Sunday trying to find a supermarket open, they were all like ghost towns! Our Tesco and Asda are open 24hrs every day.
  • Some of the offers you've posted might also be bettered elsewhere.

Do a price check on mySupermarket, click on any of the images to see what other stores are selling things for. mySupermarket includes the top four supermarkets, Tesco, ASDA, Sainsbury's and Waitrose/Ocado.

Also, when shopping around you'll see something like £4.99 (25p/100ml), it's the brackets you'll need to check as some items may be cheaper than others though may not appear so at first sight.

    For example:

Badger Premium Ale Tangle Foot 500ml bottles are £1.77 each (35.4p/100ml)

Badger Premium Ale Tangle Foot 4x500ml cans are £4.99 (25p/100ml)

It's also worth searching HotUKDeals as well as people on there post their latest deal finds, this should also include offers in other stores as well as the top four supermarkets.

Another one that's fairly reasonable is Mad About Bargains.

I did do checks and all items I post are cheaper than every other supermarket i looked at through their website and also my supermarket, not one of those items you get at another supermarket cheaper...well not that i could find
  • Yeah, true. Though I have noticed that Cathedral City's packaging, for example, is a lot smaller than other brands in recent months. Though if this is what you're wanting to buy then I guess it's a bargain all the same as it's still cheaper than paying the full price. Nevertheless though, I have seen offers recently that were in 400g packages. Morrisons had a 2 for £4 offer on 400g about 3 months ago, not much good though if you're wanting the stuff now.
