I am constantly amazed by the number of people on here who live in the back of beyond with no public transport.

And have a major city as part of their username! ;)

I came on here to ask for some advice, not to have some useless !!!!! be rude to me.

So my username is bristolchick - big wow - yes I live in Bristol however there are rural areas of Bristol that don't have great public transport services - including the area that I live.

I thought we were meant to be able to come on here and just get advice/hints from people - obviously that isn't the case so thank you for nothing.

For anyone to give advice, you have to give some information first.

You haven't yet said if it a HP agreement or Personal Loan

Instead of being ars*y you could give the information you have been asked for.

If you don't have enough money to pay for the car, of course they will take it back.

I was able to return a car that I had paid 50% of the payments with no penalty so, as above, check your T&Cs. Lots of good car deals available at the moment too so you may do well to go back to the dealer you bought the car from, explain and get a better deal exchange.

Well done! Loads of stupid gits on here who seem to think this is an episode of CSI or something, and all OPs are hell bent on giving false info.
Why come on here and tell lies and get help worth nothing?
try not to worry, check your details and made a calm, informed choice.

Thank you for that, made me feel a bit better.

It's a HP agreement and we have just dug out the paperwork from the cupboard so we are going to have a good read of it and see if we can make sense of it all.

No, people get angry when they come on a forum that is meant to be somewhere you can get help and advice on financial matters, when instead they get some jumped up numpty thinking they are wonderful and instead of being helpful they are just downright rude.

It's a very stressful time at the moment and I just wanted to get some ideas of where I stood, what options I might have so that I could then contact the finance company with some facts so that they don't try and force me into doing something I don't want to do.
  • Bristolchick, I'm sorry you were set upon by some of the timewasters of the forum who think they are something special when they come up with their pathetic, sniggering remarks like a pack of playground bullies......between the dross there are some helpful people actually trying to give helpful advice. Check your HP agreement carefully and how many payments you have made - you may be able to voluntarily terminate (VT) the car if more than 50% has been paid.
