gift ideas for 9 year old dd

Just wondering if anyone has any pointers?

DD has not asked for anything for xmas, and its also her birthday in november :mad:

For her xmas i have a fashion angels design portfolio/colour pencils and a vanity case filled with nail varnish/make up things and a book.

Thats it and i'm now coming up trumps. Theres nothing she really wants or needs, she's not into any characters or anything and i cant think of anything i havent already done or given her in previous years:(

Some ideas that both my girls would love:

A photo book (see somewhere like Photobox)

An experience voucher (indoor climbing, ice skating, scuba diving, fossil hunting etc)

Tickets to the theatre (Railway children at London Waterloo looks fab!) or a music concert

A movie hamper filled with DVDs, popcorn, popcorn maker (?), sweets, new pjs, fleece blanket

Something really unusual like a day trip to Paris (?!)

Something for the garden, such as a netball hoop & ball

And I'm sure most girls could never have too much Lego, Playmobil or Sylvanians!

Hi, My DD is going to be 9 a week after Christmas and I too am struggling!!

So far I have thought of:
An Itunes gift card (she has an ipod)
A magazine subscription
A kareoke(sp?) game for the wii
Make up
Jewellery
clothes.......

That is all I have thought of so far between Christmas and Birthday!!! I like the idea of a movie hamper.....she loves films. And the vanity case for make up hair bits. Oh and the voucher for the hair thing is fab!!!

My daughter is also 9 and I to love the idea of a movie hamper will def be making one of those!!! Other than that Im stuck as well, think I will get her a tammy girl and waterstones voucher, maybe some bits from lush... I have always loved buying toys but she doesnt play with them anymore, shes also very girly whilst I was a tomboy so Im finding that trickey lol!!! Will keep reading this thread for more ideas hopefully :j

ooooh one other idea I have is to buy her tickets to see the x factor tour. Im hoping they sell them before Christmas? We went this year and it was great acts for her (one direction) and for me (matt cardle)!!! But I didnt buy them til February this year so will wait and see..

Those with dd's the same age, its such an awkward in-between stage isn't it :think: they think they're a lot older than they actually are lol

I really like the movie hamper idea,she is having a sleepover so that might work, but her sleepover is before her birthday so would have to give it early then stuck for something on her actual birthday hmmmm

Ive just thought, the new breaking dawn film is out after her birthday, but can't find what age rating it will be

Oh this is tricky lol

Love the hair cut voucher, i'll put that in her xmas beauty box though :money:

My DD will be 9 in October, I'm getting her some Harumika stuff, a Monster High doll, Just Dance 3 for the Wii... not sure what else yet.

The Klutz books are really good too, she especially loved the Cootie Catcher and Paper Fashions ones.
