What can I do with these jarred pears?

My OH's mum gave us a jar of pears in red wine and a jar of pears in brandy. Any idea of desserts etc I could make them into??

Mmm just imagining the red wine ones hot with the syrup thickened by reducing it if it's not already, with some good vanilla icecream or some cream *drool*

Or how about making a pie/crumble/upside down sponge pudding?
