My last surgery was fantastic with a walk in service every morning and booked appointments in the evening. You wanted an appointment then you were seen in 48 hrs. If you were urgent - you got out of bed and sat and waited.

Where I live now - the only way you can see a doctor is to ring on the day and hope to get through before all the urgent appointments go. Ive tried 3 times now to book to see a doctor to be told no appointments for 6/8/10 weeks and even when you say thats fine - make me an appointment - they wont because its too far ahead !!!

I have a skin complaint which really needs reassessing and possibly a referral to a dermatologist but Im still self medicating as its just a nightmare trying to get seen and I myself dont see a skin condition worthy of an urgent appointment
