CCJ Mortgage - urgent help required!!

Hi there!

I have sold my flat and moving to a house on 3 October in Edinburgh. I have a decision in principle from Leeds BS but they are dragging their heels on the loan papers. They may come good but my mortgage broker has me worried and time is running out for me. I have a satisfied CCJ from May 2006 (disputed solicitor bill for £1100 which I settled a couple of months later) and he cannot find another lender! Declined by Northern Rock and Natonwide. I have checked my credit file and my credit score comes back as 900 (if that means anything!) and there is no other adverse information.

Does anyone know of any lenders who lend on this basis (looking for 75% LTV)?

Thanks in anticipation...

  • Leeds BS are being a bit slow with my cases at the moment. Taking them roughly 72 hours just to acknowledge that they have the information I have sent into them.

Anyway, Leeds criteria- as of last week (I've had a week off) is that they will ignore any adverse credit such as a CCJ or Default provided that it was registered more then 4 years ago- so this seems to fit their criteria.

Without knowing the ins and outs of everything I can't really recommend another lender but other mainstream lenders such as Santander might consider it.
