Any help would be most gratefully received as DD is off back to uni shortly, and a load of beans would definitely help stretch her student budget.
Many thanks

The barcodes sometimes come out wobbly if you are using fast draft print option with PDFs. Try printing on better quality print. Re savIng when you are on the voucher page re click then select save as and save to your pc

It's actually the couponstar coupons I've had most problems with, tesco usually accept them no problem but other supermarkets act like they are something they've never seen before and I've been accused of making fake coupons several times and it's always been couponstar coupons, often when they won't scan because the silly SA is trying to scan the long personalised barcode and not the short stubby barcode they are meant to scan. One particular supermarket chain I am verrrrrry reluctant to use coupons in now, in the local branch I only do if the nice SA who coupons herself is there, other branches I just don't xx
I have exactly the same problem with the Couponstar long barcode/short barcode. In my case it's M's that are the reluctant party - even though I've been using them in there for a couple of years. If I get my favourite SA (who lives up my road and is lovely) then no worries at all. Otherwise, suspicion bordering on accusation, and what seems like wilful scanning of the wrong barcode to make sure the coupon won't register.
It's rare that I have more than one coupon to use in a transaction, so it's not reluctance on their part for the total spend to be reduced. I shop there probably once every other day (it's at the end of the road so I'll get a basketful and don't have to get the car out). Many of the staff there are customers of mine and often haggle their prices down - I wonder if the irony is noticed when I can't haggle at their end!
Would LOVE to win:
A hamper - any sort! A goody bag - any sort! A UK mini-break. A year's supply of something foodie. Anything Sci-Fi related
2013 wins - Cutting Room book, Rock n Rose necklace, £50 M&S voucher, Greggs coffee, £70 voucher for a Onesie0 -
Has anyone else received a personalised bean today from Heinz? Just in from work and had a little jiffy bag, which cost over £2 to post, opened it up and a little wooden round box with a personalised bean was inside. Bit naff to be honest.0

reply being given to those who can't print or with missing barcodes
Heinz Beanz uk Hello , sorry you have been having trouble with the app. As the voucher can only be printed once, if something goes wrong when you try and print it the first time, you cannot retry the link a second time. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused and if you ring our customer care team on 0800 528 5757 they will be able to help you receive your voucher. Thanks.0 -

geordie_joe wrote: »For me it takes up the top third of a sheet of paper, I find that if I try to resize it the barcode goes wrong. What I do, to save paper, is print a few then turn them upside down and put them back into the printer and print the same number again. That way you get two on a page.
That's why I'm convinced different printers and printer drivers print at different sizes, as to get the coupon to print as you describe means changing the print setting to a different percentage of full size on my printer (hp desk jet 1000). When printing from the original link this was 70% but when I tried to print from the saved file, 70% ended up being much much bigger and almost as bad as full size was turning out. I suppose if I saved it to a PDF as opposed to just keeping the original PNG image how it is on the screen is how it will print...? Xx0 -

The barcode comes out wobbly in fast draft but I've found with these particular coupons it does scan easily. There have been other coupons in the past that even when printed in photo quality at full size, the barcode didn't scan. The shop just enter it manually. Generally with coupons that are PDFs or an image they expect them to perhaps not scan well because the barcodes are often a bit fuzzy, it's when the smart coupons don't scan that they start thinking something a bit iffy is going on. The first few beans coupons I printed in normal quality and the image of the tin and the red Heinz bar at the top use a lot of ink so much so the magenta bit of my cartridge is almost completely used up xx0 -

If you save it to a pdf you get a preview when you print, and there is an option to shrink to printable area.0 -
please correct me if i wrong (it is late afteral)
Tescos have the small spam now for £1.59 and Asda has it for £1. Using the buy one get one free coupon at tescos followed by price checking it on their site after to get the difference. you could get 2 spams for about 40p
tescos asda
2 x £1.59 = £3.18 2x £1=£2
Price difference = £1.18
BOGOF coupon used at tescos = £1.59 then - £1.18 = 41p for 2 tins
I know you will get the price difference back at a later date but still a good deal in theory?JAN-MAR Coupons = £232.70 Utility saving = £72 C.B = £53.92 Craft Sell - £14 Freebies - Chocs, thermal mug, baby wipes, beauty samples, dummy, cat food, Kola, ebay vouchers, vilakal
