  • Hi, hope someone here can help me :)

Can I do my Tesco shopping online and give the delivery driver coupons that I've printed from supersavvyme (and other places) and get the discounts credited to my card?

    Hi,
I was just wondering if those who printed off multiple coupons noticed if all of the coupons had the same barcode or not, I used the tips to print two and they both have the same barcode, which starts with 9911 and ends with 0859. Are they all the same?

    thanks

hi mate they are all the same barcode and code number but the expire date has changed on the ones today it was november but now its end aug

well not exactly most codes are meant to be shared

these coupons aren't meant to be shared at all. coupons sent as gesture of good will
copying them is a kinda fraud/misuse

also they will only be onesided when as genuine coupon will have print on both sides and often a watermark/hologram

I can confirm the Unilever coupons do have watermarks on the back, also they have a serrated edge that is virtually impossible to copy and if that wasn't enough, they have an individual serial number on the back. I won some from their defunct VIP page and these are the exact same ones fakesters are copying and selling on ebay. They won't be accepted; when I use these coupons in shops the SAs do check them carefully so unilever have obviously told the big supermarkets what to look for in a fake and so would spot a scanned and printed one a mile off. You'd then lose all your money but the ebay seller would probably be nowhere to be seen.

In the past some smaller tesco stores did this; but most didn't and recently I haven't heard of any tesco stores facilitating this for online shopping-when you think about it, its a bit of a logistical nightmare and whos to say that the drivers won't commit fraud and pocket the coupons for themselves? xx

Surely though if you have the original coupon with the November expiry it can still be used, and up to then as well? As Heinz haven't officially withdrawn it in any way as far as I can see. A bit like when there was a McCains chips coupon on the tumble tots site, which was taken off shortly after but could still be used if you had saved it to your PC? So far Heinz have made no mention of the date change on their FB page...

went to sainsburys self check out with 10 vouchers, it only allowed me to use 2 before i needed assistance, the lady said as the tins were only 50p and she would only give me 50p of per tin, she crossed the bar codes out and wrote 50p above them, , still better than nothing :) :j

Its the same in this area with most supermarkets; if any coupon outstrips the current value of the item; they will adjust the value the coupon takes off to match it instead of giving you an overage. I'm sure in some cases the manufacturers check if the item was on offer and the shop was paying out more than the item was worth; and maybe don't reimburse the overage to them? I'm not particularly bothered as free is still great! xx

Is it surprising? What with all this greed and telling people how to print more and more coupons when the intention of the supplier was simply to treat each person to one item.

If the manufacturer wanted that there are easy ways to make sure of it; individual barcodes and 'smart coupons' being the main one. The T&C on this coupon are incredibly vague, if they wrote one per household or one per customer people would stop and think a bit more. I don't see how changing the expiry for a weeks time is going to stop people printing many out; if anything people will print more and panic buy (or panic get for free) as they know their chance is going to end soon. Having been into couponing for a while; good coupons are thin on the ground and when people get given a chance to legitimately get a lot of items for very cheap or free they will take it(and like it or not, according to the coupon T&C it is legit to print loads). Heinz may not have much experience of issuing coupons in the UK but they do in the US and should have been aware of such pitfalls.

Not here, you gt your items scanned then hand over the voucher and the till deducts the amount from your total bill.

According to the terms for the Retailer, they will be reimbursed for the face value of the voucher as long as it has been taken as payment for the item. So the retailer should get 85p back regardless of how much the item cost.

Me neither, although I'm a bit disappointed that there was only one day for me to take advantage of them being 50p at tesco, and tesco only having 5 tins left.

Morrisons have already had them at 50p, so unless the co-op gets them for 50p I'll have to settle for just getting a tin free.
