Irrespective of what it says, can't someone just confirm the barcode ?

IF it's 99nnnnnnn100n THEN it WILL scan at £1

Whether the SA allows it OR the computer system automatically accepts it is another matter

I'd emailed the link to my daughter this morning and was going to phone her when she got in from work ...but she printed it at work at lunchtime and has just phoned me from Asda carpark , she's on her way home from work....the coupon did not scan but the SA input it at £1 non scan, my daughter said she would not have known what to say as an explanation if the SA had actually read the coupon and then wanted the £1,but she would not have paid the £1 for it as I had told her it was 87p in Sainsburys and she usually shops there ....she has asked me to ask if it has scanned for others or has it had to be inputted??As she wonders if it is the printer she used at work.

Daughter just phoned...she decided to get 1 from Sainsburys and it scanned there no problem, she said the message on the till at Asda said....'coupon not recognised'...but Sa said , I can see you've bought it so I'll do a non scan....she also said all the selfscan checkouts in this Asda have had the coupon slots taped up.

I just got 4 from Mr S. No questions, or problems with the £1 off. Managed to pick up some nice reduced fish and bacon whilst there too.

I cut on the dotted line below the 'Just £1' bit. And the dotted line below the ts & c's. Accepted no problems in Sainsburys

Been today at A, used 3 Palmolive coupons and got 3 Palmolive soaps for free :) They scanned normally, had no problems with it. And it was looked at by SA and some manager as well.
Didn't cut it just took it as it was.

tried using palmolive coupon tonight in sainsburys (along with other items) & sa wouldn't even attempt to scan - she said "if an item is on offer for 87p you can't use coupon for £1" - so frustrating when you get 'those' sa's!!!

thanks to jwen for the help with cutting coupons though :)
  • good morning all, Morrisons has the Campbells range back on offer - cup a soup 53p, condensed soup 2 for £1, also the rice and pasta packs think they were half price too! - i also picked up 3 magnums in a box they were half price to £1.49 and i had a unilver 50p off coupon so not too bad at all considering they are over a quid each if you buy seperate :)
