The only other difference (although I don't think for one minute this is it) was that today for the first time I bought 2 of the UNSALTED Lurpaks rather than the SALTED variety - both show on the same 2 for £2 offer SEL and haven't heard of anyone else having an issue

I have used it on the unsalted at the weekend no problem.Bummer if the have cottoned on!

I think they may have caught on to this one :(

Went to a Metro store this morning to do the 2 x £1.60 LURPACK (2 for £2) option - something I did in the same store 5 times last Thursday & Friday without issue. (other than a SA approve the coupon each time on the Self-Service till)

Today when I went through the SS till everything was the same until the SA did the initial coupon approval when it came up with a WARNING

Something like "COUPON TRANSACTION LIMIT EXCEEDED"

I said to the guy "but I've only used one" (suggesting it was a "number of coupons" message)

BUT I'm sure it was the £1 OFF a £3 SPEND failure because the REAL TOTAL was only £2

Fortunately :D he pressed another Coupon Override button and it went through.

The only other difference (although I don't think for one minute this is it) was that today for the first time I bought 2 of the UNSALTED Lurpaks rather than the SALTED variety - both show on the same 2 for £2 offer SEL and haven't heard of anyone else having an issue

Self scan tills are set up differently in different stores with the ratio of coupon to total spend they can take. Thats only reason it beeped. There has been talk of this over on PTS.

I have used a manned till each time and had no problem, including today.

I don't want to be cheeky, but I don't have a lot of spare time and for that reason have never got into the ASDA pricecheck thing which gives you 10% off if your shop is cheaper elsewhere. (I know that isn't quite an accurate description.) Is there a quick way of finding out what qualifies for this, or do you just have to pop your shopping list into mysupermarket and see what happens?

Apologies if the answer to this is somewhere, but I couldn't find it.

Are they "comparable" with Sardines in tomato sauce ?

If I were to buy any they would be for my father who quite likes the old tin of Sardines.

Can't say I'm a big fan of them myself

BUT it was the same till in the same store that I used on Thursday and Friday and it definitely didn't do this on my last 5 visits with identical (except UNSALTED today - SALTED previous) purchases on each occasion

I had problems on Saturday when I bought 2 unsalted Lurpak too, but the nice SA overrode it for me. Haven't tried it since.

You use A$da's website. You enter your receipt details in the pricecheck thingy, can't recall the proper name and it will tell you if you have a voucher. If you shop online, the info is held and you just sign in to the price check thingy and it's automatically set for your next online shop.
