I'm moving back to my parents house in a fortnight after living alone for 7 years!
Not something i ever thought i would do but they are kind enough to have me and know that it means i can completely clear my debt to them in less than 18 months. (approx 15) :j
I'm quite nervous but have a little graph and am going to relish in it going down by huge amounts each month. Time i put the figure back on my sig.
However.... this will only happen if i dont gamble again.
Wish me luck.... and my folks who have to put up with me and my moods.

Good luck cantcope. I really hope you can keep a lid on the gambling.
You probably don't need me (or anyone else!) to say this but try and keep a picture in your head of what you have had to give up because of gambling/debts....and also what you *want* in the future which you won't be able to have if you gamble.
But very very very best wishes for the future. I hope you smash your target debt free date.

that's easy. I lost the respect and trust from my parents, a very nice 30% ish deposit for a house i had saved, a brand new convertible car i'd bought, and the comfort of buying what i wanted when i wanted it and finally my sanity.
I think that should keep me on the straight and narrow and hopefully in the next few years get most of that back. Maybe not the 30% deposit on a house tho.Last bet : 26th Oct 2006:j Debt free 25th Feb 2008:j Living "my" dream:T0 -
Hey
Am too contemplating the big move home! Even paying to commute inot London I will be saving a fortune based on my fixed London outgoings (rent, council tax, bills etc) allowing me to clear the rest of my debt and save towards the future.
Not exactly looking forward to it as I have been away for 7 years but I think it might be the best step long term and am with you in the motivation stakes - will definitely be so good to see the debts go down in nice big chunks!
Good luck with the move!Proud to be dealing with my debts!
