Hi Everyone,
I am currently pregnant with twins, due in December. My maternity leave officially starts on the 3rd December however as part of my job I get 7 weeks contract leave a year which my employers have allocated to me on the run up to my maternity. Therefore I finish work on the 19th October.
Obviously twins are a great expense and although I will still be getting paid whilst I'm on contract leave I thought it would be a good opportunity to try and earn some extra money. Does anyone have any ideas of how I can do this other than the normal selling on Ebay etc? I can't obviously do anything that's too strenious as I'm the size of a house already but any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance all.

Congratulations!
I am also looking to save loads of money over the next 8 months. I just got married last week and we're having our honeymoon in Spain in May next year. Add to that Christmas, my hubbys bday in Jan, my sisters 21st in March, my Dads 50th in May and my mums 50th in June...yeah got a lot of saving to do!
I'm going to try to sell some stuff on ebay and the Friday-ad. I'm also going to cut back on what i spend on food somehow as well (I was thinking if i buy whole chickens they will last a few days. So could do a roast one day, a curry, a salad/jacket potato, a chicken in sauce with rice type thing) Same with beef mince-you can get big packs and get a shepherds pie, burgers, chilli etc out of it. So im gonna do that. I'm also gonna try making packed lunches for work cos that will be a whole lot cheaper.
Do you use cash back websites? cos you can earn a lot of money by buying stuff through their sites. You can also buy car/home insurance etc through these and get cashback for it. Also if you have a mobile phone contract thats due to run out soon, go to a cashback website such as Quidco and click on the 'mobiles' link. it should come up with a list of different sites. If you go to one called 'mobiles.co.uk' they ALSO give you cashback so you get cashback from quidco and from the mobile site. I do this everytime i'm due an upgrade. depending on what phone you want you can get up to £250 instant cashback!
Another way to save money is to go food shopping in the evening when all the things which are use by/best before that day will be at their cheapest - you can pop these in the freezer and they will then last longer.
Earning money-wise: have you thought of maybe doing some house-sitting/pet sitting whilst people are away on holiday? Or babysitting?
Hope some of these ideas are of use to you :-)Money-Saving Challenge: total of £3000 needed by May next year  Total so far: £450
september grocery challenge (from 15th-14th £34.62/£150
