Go onto https://www.washerhelp.co.uk. The chap that owns/runs this site, is one the of most helpful people I have come across. His web site is amazing. With his assistance, I have just placed an order for the John Lewis washing machine 1202 at £299. It is out of the AEG/Zanussi/Electrolux stable and comes with a 3 year full guarantee (Not a typo!) There is a code for JL (£15 off a £75 spend) floating about so it brings it down to £284 with free delivery. Someone on the site I have mentioned above, has just received his and has posted his comments (good) on the washerhelp site. Worth a look, if you haven't got fixed up yet. Regards - yoj13

After all advice here and research from Which? online I have narrowed it down to 3 in the 200-400 price range:
