Hi,
Not sure if this is in the right place but here goes....
Having split with my boyfriend we sold our property in July and closed the mortgage account etc...
However having checked my credit report last week he is still registered as having a financial association with myself.
what do I need to do about this - if anything?
Thanks in advance....;)

I think this will remain for 6 years, because the mortgage, although satisfied will remain for this length of time on your file. You might be able to put a note on your file stating the association no longer exists..No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.

No that can't be right-my ex and I got divorced in 2004 and he remortgaged in his name only(was a joint mortgage before)-I wrote in 2006 asking for him to be removed from my credit file as the mortgage was no longer active and he has been. The paid off mortgage still shows on my report but I have no financial associations showing with him any more.oscar52 wrote:I think this will remain for 6 years, because the mortgage, although satisfied will remain for this length of time on your file. contact the credit record agencies (you need to check all three) and explain that you are no longer financially linked to this person and can they update your file accordingly (i'm asssuming all joint accounts are closed and there is no outstanding debts)0
