Is NHS dental work guaranteed?

Hi, Just has a crown fitted, gold crown on lower molar. After cementing the crown was high, and the dentist adjusted/ground down the crown. The amount taken off the crown, results in a white patch showing through (which I assume is tooth). If this gets worse, am I able to go back to the dentist for retreatment, or do I…

Usually a year. But it depends why the crown is coming loose.

If its coming loose because some factor of the tooth or the bite, then even making a new crown won't fix it.

You need to talk to the dentist about why it's failing.

How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.
