Back dated tax allowances

I am in the process of claiming tax allowance on items I didn't know I could.

Professional registartion fees of £72 a year
Union Subscriptions of £200 a year
Tights and shoes
Laundering uniform at home

I believe the claim can be back dated to 2005/06

Can anyone give me a rough estimate of what I am likely to get back and whether it will be paid in a lump sum or given through a change in my tax code please - I am clueless about tax rebates!

Thanks

What is the job you do? Also who do you pay the union fees and professional subscriptions to?

    Reclaim deadline dates here:

Assuming you are a "standard rate" 20% tax payer, you should get back one pound in five (20%) of the value of the expenses you claim.
