Hi there,
We occasionally go to dog shows and our dogs have won a few rosettes. I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas of how to display the rosettes and certificates without spending a fortune? Ideally I would want them encased to protect them, rather than, for example, pinned to a pinboard, so that they don't get punctured by pins and dusty and so on....
Many thanks!

Something like a box frame for the rosettes? I'm sure Ikea used to do them but couldn't find them on their site. How about these from Wilko?

Thanks, guys. I could laminate the certificates but presumably not the rosettes?
The box frame looks good, if there was a large version available somewhere so that they could all go into one with room to add others (rather than having one frame per rosette & certificate), that might work very well!0 -
Yay! A fellow dog show exhibitor :T.
We have been showing our dogs for over 30 years now and have amassed thousands of rosettes. Back in the early days we got a friend to make us a couple of display cabinets that covered one wall in our dining room. They were only about 2" deep and around 3' x 5'. He used perspex, rather than glass, to reduce the weight. Maybe, you could get something similar made?
Nowadays, we only display our Champion certificates and BOB rosettes. We have our Crufts BOB's in those box frames, along with a photo of the dog taken on the day .
We also had colour photocopies done of the Champion certificates and had them made into glass dinner placemats - always a talking point, and a nice way to keep the memories of our past "fur-babies".
What breed have you got and where have you shown them??"Men are generally more careful of the breed(ing) of their horses and dogs than of their children" - William Penn 1644-1718

Hi Frugalista,
Thanks for the suggestions!
We have Estrela Mountain Dogs and we've been to Richmond a couple of times, Crufts and Southern Counties, and they've done well every time so although we don't take it too seriously, we are intending to start breeding so thought it might be a good idea to display the rosettes, rather than have them sitting in a folder somewhere!
Tell me more about yours!0 -
For my daughters rosettes we have put wooden battens up on the wall, emulisioned the same colour as the walls and then stretched a length of curtain wire across them to hook the rosettes onto IYKWIM:heartpuls The best things in life aren't things :heartpuls
