mojy wrote:Has anyone tried to buy the No7 suncare items with the No7 bag and use the voucher in Glasgow. In city yesterday it was only Soltan that was marked bogof. No7 was only marked 3 4 2. Is the bogof and 3 4 2 also on and just not advertised. Wanted to try for it today.
The store I visited yesterday didn't have the No 7 Suncare advertised as 'BOGOF' either (I think they're trying to hide it). However, when I took 2 of them to the till with another No 7 product (on '3 4 2'), they did scan as both 'BOGOF' & '3 4 2' - both discounts/promotions kicked in. So, in theory, with my No 7 voucher, I should have got all 3 products for £1! However, the 'Troll !!!!! From Hell' SA decided it was just too good a deal & so voided the transaction - she would only let me have BOGOF.
However, I think you just have to have a go - by trying different stores & different SA's within them (they vary a lot within store). Lots of people on here seem to have had success with both.
I think it's best to buy quite a few other things at the same time & the magnitude of the saving on that one promotion is 'hidden' a little better.
The SA you choose is cruucial also - you obviously can't generalise totally, but the younger staff who look like they don't really care & obviously have a life beyond working at Boots, are usually a better bet!
Someone yesterday recommended going to a slightly more obscure department, such as Pharmacy or Photo Processing - I agree - they tend to be more 'boffin-like' & always appear a little 'distracted' - which is a good thing!
I'm going to try it again & have a 2nd £5 voucher ready, if it fails. They'll then have to do another transaction anyway & that'll give me the chance to re-think what I'm buying.
Good luck - remember to get 2 of the Suncare range items (to get the BOGOF) & 1 of something else (not the other way round!) Also, I don't think 'Suncare' technically includes the self-tanning items.0 -

Another query - on the Boots BOGOF on suncare products, can you buy two different suncare products or have they got to be both the same, ie; two body buffers, or two sunscreens??I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure!!

Which three products did you buy and where they about the same price?
I suppose if I reedemed my £3 hairproduct, a 99p cold cure and got two more Botanics at the same time that would really put them off the scent! I dont suppose that there is any hope they would take a £3 and £5 and 2 100 points vouchers all at the same time though plus another magazine

Thanks to everyone on this thread, Had to get sunscreen etc for holiday to Cuba later in the year. Plus all the botanics stuff etc will come in handy, as I will be taking a load of it over there as the Cubans are rationed on Hygiene and Beauty products so they will get alot of use from all the stuff I have purchased!!!!:T0 -
BargainMad wrote:At one point had a lot of Belgian chocs in the order but in the end deleted these - just too easy to eat a box (10 chocs) in an evening and they are huge in calories.
If anyone needs to make the total up though they are a good buy at £1.25 a box.
Got a box for 37p yesterday, SA must have took 75% off £1.50!! Trouble is they've been eaten now - reach for Tesco Slimfast!:rotfl:0 -

Mary - I found that I could use a £3 & a £5 voucher in the same transaction, plus the Botanics 100 points. But, it didn't work when I tried to use 2 Botanics 100 points vouchers. I think you can only use 1 of everything in each transaction.
Always check your points total after using a points voucher, as I find it often hasn't gone on. If that is the case they should put them on manually for you. Any problems - make sure you get the voucher back 7 ring C/Services when you get home - they'll usually add them on for you.
Always put another mag in your basket - only the really nasty SA's will refuse to put it through (say it's for your Mum or a friend).
Good luck!0
