went to boots yesterday my local is only small but managed to buy a few things at 75% off but I bought 2 botantics soaps{the sa put them through after moisturisers} and they charged me full price think i may have picked eye serum up instead of eye cream does this make a difference? Could I take them back and ask for a refund? 1 item was body brightening cream. Any help much appreciated. Thanks

I thought that the date meant that it's fresh from the day you open for 12 months after or 6 months whatever it is..I have got loads of stuff I haven't opened yet I have had for months..Are they no good now?

That's what I though too - but my Botanics body butters don't have a seal on them once you unscrew the lid ... and they weren't airtight in the first place. But as I said I've used things before and they have lasted me 2 years and they've been fine the whole way through.

I thought it was from the day you open it too, thats why its an open pot with the months beside it - something about when it has first contact with air etc....

This is right. The months shown on the package with the tub picture is for how long the item will last once opened as once the air gets to it it will eventually deteriorate. I always try to get an item from the back of a shelf incase someone has previously opened the front products to have a sniff! Sometimes products have a foil seal over them which protects them but most don`t.:)
  • Hiya,
I have some of the £5 off Olay regenerist vouchers if anyone is willing to swap for No7 vouchers?
  • does anyone know if its worth going to boots in bristol city centre tomorrow or if any of the boots in bristol have anything left in their 75% sale.

As long as they are stored reasonably cool and dark, cosmetics keep well - certainly well enough to give as Christmas presents.
