But not as desperate as playing the "any increase is a win" game.
Taking the bullish position to its absolute extreme, 1 extra BTL every month would count as a "VICTOREEEEEEEEEEEEE".:rotfl:

    Deeply silly.

Well it didn't seem long ago we were hearing btl ll's would be going bankrupt en masse and ftb's would be able to buy up their houses cheap...

I don't think ti would have been to hard to interpret that as certain sections actually expecting a decline in btl... not a continued increase.

Funny now, ll's increasing and houses going up nominally seems to be a great success for the bear brigade.

Congratulations. You have acknowledged that you were being desperate.
Isn't the first step in any addiction, acknowledgement ;)

Now now geneer, I was congratulating you.
This self reflection your showing is encouraging.

Now try not to think of these debates as war or battles, but as an attempt at intellectual discussion on a topic relaying the pros v's cons, risks v's rewards, all preferably with an eye on reality instead of fiction.

I don't know Lite. There was this one guy who argued and argued over pages and pages over one single issue, before losing the argument, going in the huff, then - for reasons known only to himself, running rampage all over the forum telling everyone that he had the other guy on ignore.

Battle/war analogies are pretty apt in quite a lot of cases.

We know that you past debate style was not codusive to your continuing posintg ability.

You need to let go of the past and look forward if your going to achieve anything in life.

Oh I think we both know my posintg style hasn't changed lite.

You need to let go of the past and look forward if your going to achieve anything in life.

Hey. It wasn't me who went in the huff and banged on about it for ages.

For the avoidance of doubt, it was you. ;)

I think the record whows that you keep banging on about it.

no, huff, I simply got a sore head, banging it against a brick wall (or was it it was like I was debating with a brick wall)

It seems your so desperate you want to rekindle that love affair you had with me ;)

Now any, chance we can get back on topic.

An update to expanding my BTL portfolio is that my cheeky bid has been knocked back.
I think their playing the game and we'll see what entails.
I'm in a very strong position and have done my market research
(I know far more about the property than likely anyone else who may become interested)

    Of course you did lite.
And whats the best thing to do about a sore head.
Run around the internet shouting about it after the fact. :rotfl:

Wasn't it this thread where you decided to bow out.

Ah yes. A very simple premise, fully supported by evidence.
Resulting in an exceptional performance by the bulls.

Lite pops it to bang on pointlessly about actual airplanes (whisper: we were actually talking about the house price crash).
Geneer points out that timing appears to be very important to the bulls (on account of how it forms about 75% of their "argument" since the crash",
and irrespective of how prices moved since 2002, the bulls and the bullish pundits completely (and indeed regularly) failed to time the "soft landing".
Lite doesn't have a leg to stand on. Lite spits dummy.
    That about sum it up.:)
