PPI Advice please

Hi, I have PPI on a loan with a large finance company Starting with N, I took this out whilst pg and was going through an emotional time. Usually as a rule I never ever take out PPI, anyway when I was sorting through paperwork to get my finances in order, I found much to my horror that I have a loan with PPI which is a huge cost of the loan. I really don't know how I missed this, I did have one letter from them which had in bold letters the usual it's not too late to take out PPI stuff so I think I assumed that.

Anyway after writing and phoning several times for cpoies of the laon agreement, it came, and sure enough it states the loan amount and PPI.

I've signed in one place but above that it has a paragraph (in small print) which says I'm agreeing to PPI, so I didn't read the small print. BUT the date I signed was the year 2008!!!!

Thanks for reading

If I write to them do you think I can get the PPI taken off as the date is wrong? Also I'm on a DMP, is that any reason to cancel the PPI
Does anyone have advice on how to get PPI cancelled?

You need to talk to the citizens advice bureau about the date being in the future. It may invalidate the whole agreement, I'm not sure. That doesn't mean you don't pay it back just that you could dump the PPI more easily.

The PPI is a separate issue. Assuming you are in full time employment and covered whilst pregnant (pg = pregnant?) you can't claim misselling. In that case write to them recorded delivery requesting the PPI be cancelled and see what comes back.

There is a thread 'cancelling PPI can be done' that you should look up as it has everything you need to know.
