Hi how many photographers did you see before booking one?
Ive emailed a few people but only booked one appointment. I had my heart set on one photographer but they are booked for my wedding date!
Should I set up a few more meets?

We probably met about 10 at wedding fairs, and then had proper detailed meetings (that lasted say an hour or more) with our final three!
It doesn't hurt to make a few more appointments, seeing their different styles may even give you a clearer idea of what you do and don't want

lol wow thats a lot, I dont know if I could get my h2b to spend that much time looking for photographers! Im very sure of exactly what I want so narrowing it down by their websites was easy
*mix of formal and informal shots
*mix of b&w and colour
*from getting ready to first dance
*disc with edited images and copyright, dont need any albums etc just now.
*no more than £700Ideas,help and advice always welcome, judgements and assumptions are not!!:happyhearMarrying my Mr Perfect 2013

I only wanted to see one... I like his work and personality, but everyone was telling us we had to look at more so we're seeing another one on Sunday.
I like this guy's style too which is more dramatic than the first guy.
Hopefully that'll be it. I don't see the point in looking at more when there's one we already like!0 -
None my FIL is a photographer lol good luck though0

We saw three but only casually. We didn't have alot to spend (about £250) but managed to find a woman locally who just gave us 7x5 photos in a white album then we ordered copies from here if we wanted any, think they were about £7 each - only ordered three, one for the Granny-in law, one for the mother-in-law and one for my M&D! We have all the photos taken by everyone else on disc and its worked out fine.0

I think its a good idea to sit and decide what you want from your photographer in quite a bit of detail then look at their websites to see who matches what you want and is in your budget. Then email them to ask a few questions; I have found their replies give you a good indication as to how approachable they are and if you would get on with them.
We are getting married in Edinburgh but live in London so we didn't actually meet any of the photographers before we decided on one but did spend a lot of time considering their existing work, their style, etc from their websites before choosing our photographer.0
