Do they still make the Toyota Corolla? I don't think I've seen one since 1974.

Have you ever owned one?
I've spent a few uneasy moments nursing an ailing Alfa - the new ones are supposed to be more reliable but only time will tell.Lessbutbetter wrote: »Wouldn't touch a French car. German all the way!
The facts may not back up your hunch:

I fundamentally didn't mean reliability. More quality, design and style. German manufacturers dont heavily change the overall shape of their cars, for over long periods of time because the design is so strong and is liked by most people. Where as renault, citroen etc change the whole sillouette/shape of their cars sometimes on a yearly basis, because the design is not good. Good design is long lived, and poor design just keeps getting rehashed and regurgitated. If you think about it like this -- French cars are like fast cheap fashion [topshop/newlook] and German cars are like timeless designer clobber [Ralph Lauren/hugo boss]The facts may not back up your hunch:0 -

They do... but German manufacturers seem to produce a lot more grey cars than anyone else.
French and Italian cars are fun and frivolous... like many of the people that shop in New Look or Topshop0 -
This is true, however buying a canary yellow megane doesn't constitute good taste, either does parading around in a cheap fake fur coat from Topshop. You may feel good in both for a short period of time, until Da Da!! It has past its sell by date and you look like a mong.French and Italian cars are fun and frivolous... like many of the people that shop in New Look or Topshop
French manufacturers make vehicles in in bright, some would say "fun" colours for one reason. Most people know that they're not the most beautiful cars with regards quality, and nice aesthetics, but most people also know that they can market them towards people who like garish colour combinations etc
The "fun and frivolous" thing is marketing anyway. Theres nothing fun about a yellow 1999 renault megane convertible is there?......people thought they were the nuts driving around in them, even brand new back then, but they still looked as ridiculous as someone would in one today.0 -
