Credit File Query - Records Dropping off

I have just looked at my credit file, I know I should have done this after my bankruptcy was discharged, and I see that the two loans that were included in my bankruptcy are still showing as being in default with the balances still showing, they have not been marked at all as being satisfied (as everything else is).
I have the letters ready to send (as per the credit file clean up post) but both of these accounts are about to fall off of my credit file (one on 16th September and the other on 27th October). I know they will not show on searches, but I don't like the fact they have never updated my file accordingly. Knowing that these records are not going to be shown, should I still write to these companies to get them updated or will they just say it's too late?

If they are due to fall off, personally I would not bother contacting them due to the timescale. You may as well save your money and time.:pB&SC No. 298
