I couldn't see a thread for next week yet, but please merge it if there is one.
I didn't do a meal plan last week, and with rubbish days at work, late nights due to emergencies, and generally feeling a bit sorry for myself, OH and I ended up with 2 chinese takeaways, lots of wine AND a meal out :o:eek:
(just re-read this-to clarify-that was not all on the same night!
:rotfl: :rotfl: )
So-I have got myself sorted and done the plan, and hopefully we shall stick to it so as to save some pennies (and calories
)
Here we go:
Su 18th veal roast with aromatic herbs and potatoes
Mo 19th veal in creamy mushroom sauce, rice and vegetables
Tu 20th pan fried sole with new pots, carrots and peas
We 21st pasta with anchovies chilli and broccoli
Th 22nd spiced duck ramen
Fr 23rd roasted tomato and mozzarella pasta bake
Sa 24th chicken with puy lentil dahl
Su 25th Italian pot roast beef brisket, rosemary roast potatoes, vegetables.
(I know I've started on the 18th, but its the source of the 19th, so I snuck it in )

:hello: Hi
Trying to use bits out of the cupboard/freezer but a lot of it's pasta based which I don't like to feed OH every night. It's all subject to change depending on where OH is working/if Giblet puts in an appearance
Sunday; [STRIKE]Roast Chicken[/STRIKE] Hubby wanted chicken curry instead!
Monday; [STRIKE]Tuna Pasta Bake[/STRIKE] Spag Carbonara instead
Tuesday; [STRIKE]Chicken Risotto/Curry[/STRIKE] Had this Sunday so we've got Fish, chips & peas tonight
Wednesday; [STRIKE]Fish, chips & peas (mushy for OH)[/STRIKE] Probably Tuna Pasta Bake!
Thursday; [STRIKE]Omelette[/STRIKE] Don't fancy this so Chix Kiev, chips & mixed veg from freezer
Friday; [STRIKE]Fajita's[/STRIKE] OH's out so I'm going to make spag & meatballs for myself then freeze the leftovers for after baby's born
Saturday; Paella - Still TBC!
C xx
Edit: Looking at it now it involves 4 days of chicken so will almost definately change!0 -

Hi guys
It's an unhealthy week for us until the junk in the cupboards and freezer that my OH has stocked up on is used! He doesn't want to eat rubbish all day but I've just done the shop and refused to buy any new meals until he learns not to fill my freezer with crap. Haven't included my toddler as I have some healthy little homemade frozen meals for her, feeling a bit sad as we normally eat together so I eat healthily with her but I really need to get the junk used up! Never mind, I will still have breakfast and lunch with her and will just wait until she's in bed for dinner.
Will be the same the week after but back to some nice homemade healthy food the week after.
Friday: Hot dog sandwiches and chips
Saturday: Chicken with 1 of the FIVE jars of sauce in my cupboard, rice
Sunday: Pasta bake (from a jar!)
Monday: Spaghetti Bolognese (from a jar)
Tues: Chips, chicken burgers and spaghetti hoops (freezer/tins!)
Weds: Homemade lentil soup (to stop me losing motivation halfway through the week!)
Thursday: Omelettes (to use up the eggs before they go off)
Please please please have the willpower to stick to it and not waste more money. AND I still have lots of crap in the cupboards/freezer to use next week. I'm stuck between forcing us to eat it because it's there, throwing it out to teach OH not to buy it or leaving it at the back of the cupboard and pretending it's not there.

Well last week we managed 2 of the 7 meals planned! Being pregnant means being very flexable with meal planning. Although we are mainly using what we have in and moving things around rather then going out to buy extra ingredients (which is a big change to a few weeks ago)!
So this week I have the following, please note i have Insulin Resistance and eat a Low Gi/GL Diet so the boys sometimes eat different or slightly altered meals (it's not because I am catering for fussy eaters!)
Friday - LO Mince and Beans in Pitta (Family get to choose what they want)
Saturday - Taco's (Using LO shells/salsa from last week)
Sunday - Honey and Mustard Gammon with Peas and Carrots (and Mash for Boys)
Monday - Stroganoff (with Chestnut Mushrooms on offer at Mr T)
Tuesday - LO Honey and Mustard Gammon with Peas and Carrots (and Mash for Boys)
Wednesday - HM Tuna and Red Onion Pizza (and Chips for the boys)
Thursday - Apple and Pork Sausage Casserole (with Potatoes for the boys)
There is a lot of beef and prok!!! I can't stand Chicken right now, vegetarian is rare as I can't eat a lot of pasta/rice, and fish is something I struggle with!! The joys of pregnancy!!
Will fill in the gaps as we get closer, because it depends on what the pregnant lady fancies closer to the timeWe spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240
