  • I picked up my third and fourth chickens today. It's about time we had freezer offers/glitches - having space for big chickens in my freezer is a sign Tesco haven't cocked up on frozen goods for a while.

  • You don't need space for whole chickens you can cut them up for chicken pieces. There are videos on you tube if you need to know how.

they are not caged they are on a deep litter system. we raised a few of these type and they are not the happiest of birds. they tend to die very young. so eating them at 6-8 weeks is probably best. if you want to try a real free range bird expect to pay a lot and the taste is very diffrent as is the texture.
  • My local store - Southend completely sold out and they had removed the labels from all of the shelves as well! They never have enough stock in when they do these promotions they had one little section of a fridge.
  • i got these the other day, just forgot to post on here lol

Decent size chickens and a bargain, my local had LOADS in the main fridges and also in a little portable fridge thing too

Only have room for a couple or else i would have been buying loads more

Mind you, give it a couple of weeks and im sure i could leave them out back and they'd freeze hehe

  • Bought some today-excellent value. I bought 4-the smallest was 1.58kg and the biggest was 1.71kg, so very happy :)
  • I'm assuming these wouldn't be the sort of product Asda would include in their cheaper by 10% promise?
  • My local Tesco only had 1 in stock , so I got a 'promise' voucher to get two when they are next in stock, even if they are not on offer. :T
