I've just spoken to them. The 7.99 deal was an offer which would have been in limited supply. The website only updates its availability every few hours so they may have received more orders than they have in stock. They then go to the supplier to ask if they can supply them anymore to sell on at 7.99, which is what we are waiting for. In the meantime they continue to sell at 34.99 as they can source the item for a price that can be sold on at full price.

She said that if it hasn't been despatched yet then it is likely they can't get any more stock and the order will be cancelled. I really really hate this - I know no contract is formed until they take the money but this is HMV - if they can't manage realtime stock updates on their site, they should at least cancel the orders asap. Hrmph.

still nothing here, I have just emailed HMV and well to be honest I am disgusted how big companies like this can treat people, Tesco, Amazon, Woolworths, Asda they all do it

Just received an email from HMV stating that my order has been cancelled because this offer is now closed and that they now longer have any stocks of these at this price, I have emailed them back I will let you know what happens, has anyone else had their order cancelled

Me neither, Order Status says "Item to be ordered from supplier" since 15/01

I ordered this game from them on 16th January and was eventually told that my order had been cancelled. I have emailed and emailed back to them saying that their service is pants and I'm not accepting what they are saying. I pointed out that they should tell us when we order if they have no more available at the sale price as other companies such as Next do. The have come back with the poorest of excuses but I kept on arguing back. They finally said they would send my order to me "on this occasion" as I was not informed within a reasonable amount of time that my order would not be fulfilled. Today I have recieved an email saying my item has been shipped. It does pay to keep on at companies but I'll not be buying anything from there again.... unless it is really cheap

I sent an email to customer services are they said they were going to cancel my order saying that I ordered at the 7.99 price and that I could reorder at the 34.99 threatening legal action they telephoned me quite quickly and offered it to me at 7.99 saying they would place a new order on the 34.99 ordering system and adjust the price and low and behold it was delivered yesterday thanks op got mine

Ordered mine on January 13th, and got an Email today, to advise that the
'campaign' price was no longer available, and they were sorry to cancel the order! Much as I expected! Rather a long time in 'advising' though!
